Fresh Ground Pumpkin Spice Blend (opens the original)

    Excerpt

    Read excerpt

Fall has fallen and pumpkin spice season is here! I talk about it every year, there is a reason that we begin to use all these warming spices so much as the weather changes- we have for centuries, to preserve food and ward off seasonal sickies. Cinnamon, clove, ginger, allspice, nutmeg- all of these spices are incredible for full body wellness, immune health, circulation, digestion and even mood. Blend them all together and it’s sort of like an all around herbal protection potion. <a class="imag

Pumpkin Spice Granola Bars (opens the original)

    Excerpt · Positive tone

These granola bars are not messing around. The pumpkin spice is present and punchy, they are warming and richly spiced without being overly sweet. The dates add that caramel-y richness and chocolate chips make everything better.BUT the real beauty of these bars is how powerful all the other ingredients are. I did a bit of a deep dive into the specific amounts of nutrients in these bars and was pretty impressed!<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch

Of course, it’s also a recipe I didn’t think to photograph until I later realized you need this recipe so…here’s my one photo-<a

Mushy brain Media (opens the original)

    Excerpt

    Read excerpt

At first glance, my mind seems like a blank page. But in reality, it is criss crossed with invisible ink scribbles and words, so many that even if revealed they would be impossible to decipher for the amount they overlap and intertwine with each other. At least, that’s how it feels.Lately, my brain has been such a buzz of competing thoughts, feelings, ideas, words, that almost nothing seems a complete thought, and though I know I have thinks to think and words to speak, unravelling them seems so
