   I’ve been quiet for a while. Pretty much the whole summer — and no, that wasn’t planned. I’m not sure why it surprises me anymore, really. I have lived by the academic calendar pretty much my whole life; first as a student, then as a teacher, and now as a mother. My writing practice seems to have fallen in line with this structure.
