    This weekend I finally started a project I've been dreaming of since we bought our house: making the front more beautiful! And that, to me, means many many plants. And also a small pond (thanks to my kids). But mostly, PLANTS! My husband pulled up a bunch of bricks from the path and I set to work turning stones we found in the garden into a raised bed.     It's been a busy summer - as well as being ungodly hot and dry - and my valiant attempts at making regular diary comics shrivelled and dried like the figs on our tree. The figs, at least, were enjoyed by the wasps, whereas my lack of drawing energy left me extremely frustrated. Luckily, Pigeon Post exists and reminded me that it doesn't need to be so complicated, and a square a day was enough.     Every now and again I have the urge to ‘improve’ something random in my life.
