    None of the clothes Aida had on when she met me on her porch last week were hers. Sausaged into burgundy spandex leggings topped with a faded black tee-shirt sporting characters from an early-aughts Nickelodeon show, she grinned and signed “pizza restaurant dinner” before grabbing my arm to pull me down the steps. The outfit was suitable to our cooling Pacific Northwest summer evening once she removed her winter coat, so I let go my questions of who the clothes actually belonged to and followed
