Charlie Hunter's Reasonably Fine Art Talk

Dear Friends,I am a very lucky bug. Aside from the mountain of privilege I was born into (20th Century, USA, with stable, educated, supportive parents who valued creativity; white, male, not bizarre looking, etc. etc. etc.) I am also lucky in that I have managed to make a living doing a series of things I really wanted to do.In college, I wanted to design stuff for bands - and I got a dream job working at Toad’s Place in New Haven as their house artist (they even gave me my own studio upstairs)

Read excerpt
A few years ago I had a paint-by-numbers made of one of my monochromatic paintings - I thought it would be funny to see how it turned out. It has been sitting on a side table here for two years. If you’re willing to tackle trying to do it, I’ll send it to you (but you have to send us a picture of the results). UPDATE: We have a winner.<img class="install-substack-app-embed-img" src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!3CFB!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fbucketeer-e05b
