Read excerpt
Buckleboo Station manager James Kerr knew there had to be a better way to manage the land after looking at sobering photos from the 2007-08 drought when it resembled a moonscape. He only started managing the 100,000 hectare station, 55km north of Kimba, in 2018 but soon after when the property was in drought again he began an ambitious "ecological reset". Mr Kerr, who is a SA finalist in the Australian Agriculture Awards in the Sustainability in Agriculture category, is thrilled to see the lands

After this she worked in the sheds in SA, Vic, NSW, Qld, New Zealand and England as well as heading to the US for eight seasons. She spent a decade in the private wool buying division of

With construction well underway on a roof over the cattle pens the agents have had to split the monthly sales due to 80 selling pens being temporarily unavailable. Elders and Nutrien offered just 440 head in early September and last week it was the independents' - Green Triangle Livestock, Miller Whan & John and O'C
Paw-some result: Lucindale dog auction surpasses $1 million milestone (opens the original)
Read excerpt
Bidding from five states of Australia added up to the 2026 Lucindale Working Dog Auction being the highest averaging sale in its six-year history. Western Vic kelpie breeder Ryan Lenehan, Condah, topped the sale at $24,500 for Lot 5, a nearly three-year-old dog, Kirklen One, which he had bred and trained. This was just shy of the record for the SA sale of $29,000 set at the first sale in 2021. Mr Lenehan described the black and tan Kelpie as a "generous work dog that had done the miles" on Conda
