    As much as each newsletter is a stand-alone exploration of a fistful of concepts, I am realizing that the Newsletter Project in general is a longitudinal and interlocking series of explorations of the same Concept over time.     I have been wandering the eastern seaboard like a lost mollusk for a week now.     I got very sick while on a bike trip through the hinterlands of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa during the last week of July. This marked the first time I have had to contend with being sick while on some sort of outdoor adventure. It was a harrowing experience to try and ignore the painful swallowing and increasing congestion during the 96 degree and humid days in the rolling Wisconsin hills.
