I really liked this film. Maybe because it was set in Greenwich Village, where I frolicked from age 23 to 33.Maybe because it focuses on a group of young bar- and cafe-dwelling guys who are forming an intellectual circle, and I myself was part of one such circle during my mid-20s.Maybe because its star, Ed Saxenberger (Willem Dafoe), is far into life and sees his youthful days in the Big City as a distant, previous life, one that is long past but retains a powerful draw.
