I spent two weeks in the middle of June visiting with family in the house where I grew up. It was an interesting experience on a number of levels. I was going there to help my mother, who was recovering from a medical procedure. That was a sort of role-reversal; the woman who raised and cared for me as a child now needed my help and I was the healthy adult who could care for her.
