“Heavenward from a rooted stance” - John Hapgood, 1905-1995 (opens the original)
Read excerpt
World War II was won by 48 Allied nations working collectively. The strategies and tactics implemented by the Allies were diverse. Mass-produced weapons from American factories played a key role, as did the massive technological leaps in shipbuilding, aviation and logistics made in just a few years. In conquering the Axis powers, no one factor vanquished fascism in 1945. No single weapon, or single nation, could have won World War II unilaterally. Cooperation was a core tenet of Allied victory.
