Recreating a Childhood MemoryFor a few summers in the mid-1980s, an enterprising mom in our Santa Cruz community started a week-long, by-invitation-only camp for her elementary school-age daughter and friends called Thimble Summer — named after the 1938 children’s novel by Elizabeth Enright.
