Ayesha Recommends: August Favorites (opens the original)
Read excerpt
Year in and year out, August feels like an interlude. As if I’m coming to an end of a run on sentence abruptly and frozen in that breath right before correcting, commending or questioning oneself. Where do I sit? Probably somewhere between Burn One by Brent Faiyaz, Parachutes by Coldplay and Nothing Without Intention by Solange.<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch

Nothing life-altering. Just the small good (and mildly infuriating) things, which lately feel worth noting more than ever.<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!EYzM!,f_auto,q_auto:good,
Ayesha Recommends: June Favorites (+ April & May) (opens the original)
Read excerpt
Okayyyy I didn’t write any recs in April or May. But it’s been nice being rooted for a minute, even if it means this newsletter is now a quarterly instead of monthly situation. So here’s everything I loved across April, May, and June, all in one very full list :)Ayesha Recom
