Another belated update… but this time I have a valid excuse: I was at a workshop!Workshop at Harvard. I attended and presented at the Centennial Workshop on Quantum Probability, Causality, and Information. It was a mix of physicists, philosophers, statisticians and data scientists. Lots of interesting discussions! And there was a Steinway in the building, so I got to play it a bit! I only have a digital piano at home, and I am not sure I’d have the space (or money?) for a grandpiano!Lagrangian f

Reverse Physics for Quantum Mechanics. Paper submitted! We fixed a couple of things before submission. One interesting methodology issue was that in a theorem we weren’t really taking two conditions as background but using one to constrain the first. We wanted to say that we take the Hilbert space definition but also that ensembles have finite entropy. If we take both conditions, this would exclude the infinite dimensional case because, with the Hilbert space definition, you’d have infinite entr

The video about our high-entropy classical limit was selected as one of the winners of Curt Jaimungal’s CORE.Feel like I did nothing thi

Got back home last Wednesday. Still trying to catch up with everything.New video. New video on the problems of finding funding for our research program on the Assumptions of Physics. Since foundational issues fall within the cracks of different disciplines (math, physics and philosophy), no institutional funding agency has ownership of the problem. This lead us to the next topic.Assumptions of Physics Foundation. We have been setting up a non-profit to raise funding and support the research. We

New preprint. The first paper that collect a series of results on quantum mechanics with the more or less final style of Reverse Physics is on the arXiv. The plan would be to have a live to gather feedback this Saturday.Briefs. We went through some of the briefs on quantum mechanics and made minor improvements on the language, proofs and consistency across them.Nothing else for this week.
