Here is my simple equation for a great fall wardrobe: High-quality, elevated basicsDenim and bottoms that feel made for your body typeA few soft knits on rotationA few Heirloom-worthy jackets and coatsA ballerina, boot, loafer, sneaker, mocs/shearling of some kindA couple decadent bagsAccessories that feel like a signature: vintage scarf, tortoise sunnies, sentimental jewelryKicking off a mini series and edit of each — starting with elevated basics. I am kind of in shock at the moment as this has been a dream of mine for decades… cannot believe it! Less captures this week but I did leave a little video note at the end… TGIF! <a class="image-link image2" href="https://substackcd
3 Knits to Transition to Fall (opens the original)
Read excerpt
My top favorite cozy fall/winter knit from Jenni Kayne is the Amelia. I wear this one every year. I really only tuck it away in the summer, so around this time it feels exciting to reunite! Such a lovely transitional piece to wear with shorts as we patiently wait for the new season to show up. It’s made of 100% cashmere and is so soft, special, and luxurious. I have the gray and black and go with a size x small (one size down from my normal as it’s roomy).<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-
