Anwar Lahnin
Reading, writing and art appreciation are some of my hobbies. Arts for me are things like movies, music, television, etc. I'm still in the process of figuring out a path in life.

Another uneventful day I tell myself before I wake up. I get the usual routine going and that’s about it. I’m still currently in the works for what I want to do next, I’ve decided to continue reading ‘Good Material’ by Dolly Alderton and I’m working on doing a third reading of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ after finishing ‘The Hobbit’. I’m keeping up my daily yoga after I wake up and still picking up a book, so i’d call that a success. I start to think about how distanced I am from social media. Besid

It’s the beginning of another day, “you’ll get through it”, I tell myself while I keep my rule of no electronics of the first hour of the day. It helps me start with intention as opposed to distraction. Picking up a book and reading with a cup of coffee is my simple routine so I don’t start scrolling the minute I’m out of bed. Just as I knew back then, finishing college is something that gets harder with age, not easier. Technically I’m not a dropout because I finished my Associate’s degree, but I dropped out of getting my Bachelors degree. However as I’ve made it to my 30’s, I realized degrees aren’t as important as valuable life experiences such as survivin

I’m having cases of writer’s block now, which is why I don’t post as much as I used too. There is one way to deal with the writer’s block for me, which is to just throw words at the page or screen until I make my point or get tired, either one. There is so much content now in the world now that I want to make sure I post something of quality before I put it out there. Showing up and putting in the work is sometimes the hardest part of all. I tell myself, “what could you possibly have to say this
