I’m continuing to write the story of Ralph & Alec in Jack’s Party. Their relationship now takes a turn towards the bitter-sweet for a variety of good reasons, and so Ralph turns to Jack for advice. I tend to find this aspect of writing quite challenging so have taken it slowly in order to get it right for them all. So Ralph is busy recalibrating his life & being honest with himself about it as best possible. I’ve also introduced a complication in the novel that Ralph hadn’t expected - I knew I w

Mind you, Ralph is surprised that his author might actually have a plan, albeit a small one, for the scene I’m wr

This week I’ve completed the read-through of my women’s fiction witchy novel The Music of Flowers. I’ve streamlined the extra tension & darkness I added last week. And the magic & emotions have also ramped up. In any case, Fleur & Julia have pronounced themselves happy with what I’ve done - for now. So that’s good news. 😁<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!I5rU!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.ama
