    Motoring along the Lincoln Highway there are a number of old-time entertainments to be had. Now referred to as U.S. Route 30, the Lincoln Highway was the first coast to coast roadway established by Carl Fisher in the early twentieth century. Traveling through Pennsylvania there are hotspots of kitschy and nostalgic fun along the way. One such place is Idlewild Park in Ligonier. For a full back-in-time, roadside experience be sure to visit the Story Book Forest section of the park.<a class="image

    At the dawn of the twentieth-century the Algonquin Hotel in New York City opened its doors. Frank Case, the hotel’s first general manager, took his post in 1902 and eventually bought the hotel. Case shaped the character of the hotel by encouraging literary clientele to frequent the establishment.
