LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Bidding goodbye and thank you at the end of The Eagles incredible show here this past week, band leader Don Henley told the sold-out crowd, “Thank you.” What followed confused me. “Boomers.” Our response was about to be “Sooner,” but we realized he was referring to the crowd’s age, not their college loyalty. The entire band put on an incredible show in the Sphere but my ear was on Norman native Vince Gill’s performance with the legendary group. Sorry, there ar

Trout. “The church needs to be paying him instead of the janitor himself,” she told the frightened pastor, to which he replied “Well, how m

RIEGER: Water tower was once host to Norman’s squatter town (opens the original)

Excerpt · Neutral tone · English

It won’t be done for the first day of classes at the University of Oklahoma this week but the Dr. Pepper “Fansville” logo will soon adorn the city water tower on Lindsey Street west of the railroad tracks. The city will get the tower repainted first and then a team will move in and paint the logo on the tower, which hasn’t been part of the city’s water utility since 2011.
