    I have been slow to describe and edit the photographs I made in Mallorca and India. The contact sheets from Japan are on the drying racks in my darkroom as I write this. Maybe some of that slowness comes from not wanting to name the work too quickly, because naming has a way of reducing an experience before I have understood what the photographs themselves are saying.
