An idyllic lakefront rounded out the pastoral scene, with the gentle sound of rushing water coming from a fountain.     This is a time for our nation to mourn a loss of infinite magnitude, and our own personal losses as well. In that vein, I wanted to share a follow-up to my last column. As I sipped a cup of coffee this past Shavuos morning, I remembered a different Shavuos morning, over four decades ago. It was the morning of the bris of my son Saadya a”h. That morning, I had a conversation with the One Above. It wasn’t a pleasant chat. It was not expressed with a heart full of gratitude for our healthy new son.
