There and back again: Fuji-san from a train in Japan and Mount Rainier, Tahoma, from a plane over America’s Pacific Northwest. We flew over Mount St. Helens and Mount Hood, too, on our way back to Portland, but I couldn’t get a good photo angle from my seat.The problem with visiting anywhere else — Japan or Canada, certainly — is that you can’t help but compare it to life in America. That’s where we’re at as the vile orange buffoon kicks over gas cans and throws matches to set the world on fire.
