A Slow Sunday Scroll (opens the original)
Read excerpt
Welcome to my first Slow Sunday Scroll but firstly, how has your week been? Sunday is a delightful day, isn’t it? Made for car boot sales and garden centre wanders, roast dinners followed by apple crumble, and cosying up with a cuppa in front of Countryfile as the weekend gently winds down. That hasn’t quite been my Sunday today, but it has been a wonderfully slow one. In fact, it’s been a slow week, so I thought I’d share a few little snippets of what I’ve been up to.<a class="image-link image2
Nature Journal: The Flat Rock (opens the original)
Read excerpt
I leave the house with a drink in my backpack and Ramsey, my Yorkiepoo, happily trotting beside me on his lead, wondering where we should walk today. It’s an unusually warm July morning, notably the second heatwave of the summer, but it’s still early enough that the air doesn’t feel stiflingly hot. A cool breeze moves through the trees, taking the edge off the warmth, and for a little while the world feels wonderfully unhurried.<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackc
