My brother Andrew died on Saturday 12th September. He had been ill with prostate cancer, diagnosed in the autumn of 2024. He suffered a slow deterioration from February this year but had an especially painful three weeks before admission to Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice on Wednesday 9th September, where the care was superb. He spent his last few days well-sedated and calm. His family visited him to say their farewells, and friends and relatives unable to visit in person sent recorded me
