If you’ve been around here a bit you’ve probably noticed I like Mid-Century modern architecture. The lines, the colors, the combination of materials, and especially the connection between the inside and outside that is typically utilized. I knew there was a Frank Lloyd Wright house in Springfield, Illinois. It’s not far away, but far enough that I hadn’t made the trip to see it. I finally made the trip to the Illinois State Capital and got the chance to walk around the outside of the Dana-Thomas

Throughout my adult life I’ve picked up a variety of hobbies, some have stuck with me for a while, and some have been passing moments. I realized this weekend, as I was letting go of part of one of them, that they are all actually the same hobby. Now I realize that cycling, climbing, photography, hiking, travel, enjoying food and cocktails are all their own individual thing. But there’s something that’s the same about all of them.
