洋服から着物に着替える時間。身を清め、長襦袢の上に長着をかさねる所作は、神事のふるまいのような、カミとかさなる儀式のように感じる。着物をまとうだけで、ふだんの私は脱ぎ落とし、キヨキ・アカキわたしが表にあらわれる。歩幅も、立ち居振る舞いも、いつものわたしではなくなり、何か尊い、大きな力にうごかされている感覚が訪れる。それに気がつくように着物と関わり、いたわり、日常に、畏れとかたじけなさを感じていきていくことに、このうえない豊かなものを感じるようになる。「ふだん」を脱ぎ捨て、「いつも」でないわたしをまとう。
